Chair Pose Tips and Modifications

Today's video is another YOGA POSE TUTORIAL and we're focusing on CHAIR POSE, also known as FIERCE POSE, also known as UTKATASANA. «Utkatasana» is a great strengthening pose! It can help to strengthen the ankles, thighs, the abs, the hips, the biceps, and the triceps. It's also great for stretching the shoulders and opening the chest. I use «Chair Pose» a lot, and I enjoy it because of how much it strengthens my lower body. No matter how many times I practice «Chair Pose», I feel it's intensity each time I practice it. If you have knee issues, be sure to modify your «Chair Pose», but keep in mind that it is great for strengthening the area surrounding the knees and may therefore be beneficial in the long run to those who suffer from these issues. Making sure that you are doing poses properly is imperative to receiving all the benefits they have to offer, in addition to avoiding injury.
